Bow drill fire

Learning how to make a bow drill fire is a very good way to get into bushcraft and primitive survival skills. It's not the easiest way to get a fire started but it is a good alternative if you don't have any other way. The conditions have to be right for this to work. All of your material have to be really dry. And it does take a lot of energy to get the best results. This is a great skill to have just in case you didn't have any other way to get a fire. Personally I like using a fire steel to get all of my fires started. To me that is the easiest and fastest way to get a fire going when you need it. So fire by friction is a great skill to have and practice for survival and bushcraft.
