This knife a good alternative to the Tom brown tracker witch is a 200 dollar knife. Not saying that it's not a good knife, but if you don't have that kind of money to spend on this type of knife thin this is a good alternative .I paid less than 8 dollars for mine, I got it on eBay .I think they are about 15 dollars to buy it now, which is not a bad deal. The only problem I have with mine is the handle, the screws would become lose, but I put some loctit on them and their OK now. The sheath is not the best, but if you're interested in bushcraft thin you can probably find a alternative . I use it like a Hatchett, chop tree limbs and baton wood for my small folding stove. I really like this knife as a one does all tool. So if you're looking for a beginner knife and your on a budget then I would start with something like this
